Building a New Chapter of the Belt and Road Initiative - CNBM Deepens Cooperation with Uzbekistan

On September 2, Zhou Yuxian, Chairman of China National Building Material Group (CNBM), met with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and his delegation in Beijing. The two sides held in-depth discussions on aligning the Belt and Road Initiative with Uzbekistan's "UZBEKISTAN - 2030" strategy, focusing on cooperation in new materials, clean energy, and engineering and technical services.
Zhou warmly welcomed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit and expressed gratitude to the Uzbek government for its long-standing support of CNBM's development in Uzbekistan. He introduced CNBM's investment footprint and key project achievements in the country, stating that the Group has consistently aligned its corporate development with Uzbekistan's national strategy. To date, CNBM has established investment and industrial cooperation in Uzbekistan exceeding USD 2 billion. Going forward, the Group will continue to leverage its integrated strengths in new materials, clean energy, and engineering services, increase investment, advance the implementation of key projects, and support Uzbekistan's green, low-carbon transition and sustainable development.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev highly praised CNBM's achievements in cooperation with Uzbekistan, noting the Group’s significant contributions to modernizing Uzbekistan's building materials industry, infrastructure development, and clean energy advancement. He stated that Uzbekistan highly values its comprehensive strategic partnership with China and is willing to further deepen practical cooperation with CNBM in building materials, new energy, and engineering services, elevating China-Uzbekistan economic and trade relations to a new level.
